LONG BEACH, Calif. (Feb. 26, 2008)-- According to The Wall Street Journal on February 26, 2008, nearly half of adults in the U.S. have switched from the faith which they were raised or have dropped ant religious affiliation, a survey of 35,000 adults found.
My Thoughts:
I was raised catholic and I am now christian. In my experience most of my family has switched their faith. This was just a small survey but it seems pretty accurate.
My family thought felt that we weren't getting anything by going to a catholic church. The first time I went to a Christian church I felt like I got something out of it. I didn't feel like this was a routine, I learned something new every week.
There are many people that I know that don't believe in anything now. They say that they were brain washed when they were young, and they wished they never had to go to church. I have also noticed that these people are very smart individuals with a good education and have great success in their life. I found that interesting because someone once told me that people who don't believe in the bible or God they are all very educated, I wonder why that is.
